This time server was excellent. They used to have wonderful sourdough rolls, along with pretzel roll & an oat bran roll or brown bread roll. We will return but luck of the draw on server and food has really never been great. The only bummer was the really loud birthday group near us. As usual all of my guests could not stop raving about the Front Runner! The bartenders and the servers are terrific. for watching races. And in case the ponies are treating you right, there are some well worthwhile desserts apple strudel, maple crme brulee, Grand Marnier cheesecake and so forth, even a dessert pizza topped with Nutella. Sitting above the track with a resplendent panorama of the San Gabriel Mountains as the backdrop, the FrontRunner truly leaves . This was our third time at the Front Runner. And I make being there an occasion. Our waiter, Jorge, was fabulous. Oven cured tomatoes ~ reggiano shards ~ crisp garlic croutons balsamic caesar dressing, Baby tomatoes ~ English cucumber ~ black olives ~ crisp garlic croutons house vinaigrette ~ ranch ~ bleu cheese, Ditallini pasta ~ kalamata olives ~ feta cheese sun dried tomato pesto, Charred vegetable hash ~ rosemary essence, Marinated Mushrooms, Marinated Artichokes, White Asparagus, Pan Seared Breast of Shelton Farms Chicken. Seats were fantastic. I had the chowder which I thought was ok but a relative said it was so so to him. Great experience. Combining the formal with the familiar-the decadent with the daily-Silks lets patrons experience open-air excitement of watching the races at a reserved table. There are A variety of choices on the menu. Great ambiance, excellent customer service.
