The development of machine tool products in Taiwan revolves mainly around machining center and numerically controlled lathe with a wide range of industrial application including automotive, aerospace, 3C products, molding and the manufacturing of other machine components. With the advantage of a high cost/performance ratio, the Taiwanese machine tools are very competitive against its international rivals and have a rather major influential power in the global market. At the same time, Taiwan machine tool vendors have already supplied automated manufacturing cells and production lines constructed from “Integrated machine tools and automated facilities (such as robot arms)” to the Chinese automotive industry, collecting a vast amount of experiences in metalworking/manufacturing technologies and international service, which makes Taiwan an essential partner for Thailand’s automotive parts and metalworking manufacturers.

It is a great honor to have the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), the secretary-general of Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builder’s Association (TMBA), and Taiwan’s machine tool vendors to share with the audience concerning the current status and development trend of Taiwan’s machinery and machine tool industry, and metalworking technologies. We welcome all automotive parts and metalworking vendors plus those who are interested in the machine tool industry to participate in this topic discussion.
